Booking your GMAT date is entirely self-service through the official GMAC portal. Here is a step-by-step overview to find and confirm your preferred slot:

  • Visit mba.com and log in to (or create) your free account
  • Click “Schedule Exam” on your dashboard
  • Select your exam format — Online or Test Centre
  • Choose your preferred city or region from the dropdown
  • A live calendar will display available dates and time slots
  • Click your preferred date to see exact session times and confirm the slot
  • Complete payment (USD 300) to receive your booking confirmation

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can I take the GMAT in a year?
You can take the GMAT up to 5 times within any rolling 12-month period. You must wait at least 16 days between each attempt. The lifetime limit is 8 attempts in total.
It is recommended to book at least 4–6 weeks in advance to get your preferred date and time slot. Booking 3–6 months ahead is ideal if you want maximum choice of centres and session times — especially during peak application seasons (October–January).
Yes. The online GMAT Focus Edition is available almost every day of the year, subject to proctor availability. You can schedule it through the mba.com portal with as little as 24 hours’ notice.
You can reschedule your GMAT for free if you do so more than 60 days before your scheduled exam date. Rescheduling between 15–60 days before the exam costs USD 55, and within 1–14 days costs USD 110. No rescheduling is allowed within 24 hours of the exam.
You receive an unofficial score preview immediately after completing the exam, which you can choose to accept or cancel. Your official score report is released within 7 business days and is accessible through your mba.com account.
