IELTS One Skill Retake: Now available for Indian Students

With the new IELTS One Skill Retake function, Indian students can retake one of the four IELTS test skills—listening, reading, writing, or speaking. Both the Academic and General Training IELTS tests can be used.

Who can take IELTS One Skill Retake?

You must have recently finished a full IELTS computer exam and obtained your results from an approved test centre to be eligible for an IELTS One Skill Retake. One skill may only be retaken once per first exam, and the one-skill retake must be completed within 60 days after the initial test.

The reatake test follows the same format and time constraints as a regular test for that skill. In the Listening test, for instance, you will listen to the same four recordings and respond to the same questions as in a typical IELTS Listening test.

After completing your IELTS Retake exam, you will receive a new Test Report Form. You can decide whether to utilize your new Test Report Form or your older one.

This blog will explore a few tips and tricks to remember while reattempting the test.

How to prepare for IELTS One Skill Retake

This is a great option for test takers who need to improve their score on one skill of the IELTS test. Compared to retaking the entire test, it is more practical and more affordable.

Here are some of the quick trips you should keep in mind:

1. Area of weakness

Examine your weaknesses by taking a practice test in your retaking subject.

2. Planning:

Once you know your weaknesses, you can concentrate on those areas. To practice listening comprehension, for instance, you may watch English-subtitled TV programs or listen to podcasts in English.

3. Use of reliable sources:

You can use various resources to prepare for the IELTS One Skill Retake. Use materials of the highest calibre that are created especially for IELTS.

By carefully preparing, you can increase your IELTS Retake exam score and reach your desired English language proficiency goals.

Keep in mind that progress requires patience and sustained work. Create a study schedule appropriate to your needs and areas of weakness, and don’t be afraid to ask a professional for help if you want to improve your performance on the IELTS skill of your choice.
