The sector saw a 24% year-on-year growth in enrolments, now 6% higher than 2023 totals, according to New Zealand government data from December 4.
University enrolments from international students are now just 7% below pre-pandemic levels, showing a strong recovery.
With 73,535 enrolments between January and August 2024, more students enrolled in just two terms than all of 2023.
